Dr. Valerie D. W. James is an organizational diagnostics practitioner with over 25 years of experience in corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, and global business management. Her approach to enhancing the anatomy of organizational health and performance is as focused and passionate as a doctor combating cancer or a coach driving a team to the Super Bowl. She is accomplished in leadership, operations and performance assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management. Dr. James walked away from her executive leadership career in corporate America, serving in roles such as human resources, administration, and operations in industries such as healthcare, communications, and finance, to support leaders with managing high-stakes initiatives and provide counsel to Fortune 500 clients, C-suite executives, health administrators, federal agents, and higher education administration.
She is the CEO of VisionSpot Enterprises, a global management firm formed in 1998. The firm specializes in delivering evidence-based performance solutions by thoroughly examining organizational operations and pinpointing improvement areas to streamline processes, cut costs, and increase efficiency and quality benchmarks on the metrics that matter. Her proven strategies are effective in enhancing the functionality and precision of day-to-day processes and team productivity.
She has been honored with numerous leadership and business awards and her work have also been recognized for building continuity between leaders and their teams to significantly increase customer and employee retention levels surpassing the average.
She is also the founder of the iSKORED strategic planning and performance management system. She holds a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from the School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University.
Dr. James is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified and currently serves on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Real Advice Mentoring Program (RAMP) team as a business advisor. She has served on various community boards and committees, such as Past President of a national HR association (LA), Mobile Chamber DEI Vice Chair, inaugural president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Alabama chapter, and currently as board president of the Mobile Metropolitan Medical Society. She is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Fellow, is a graduate of Leadership Mobile, and was named the American Heart Association's Mobile, Alabama, Inaugural Woman of Impact.
